I think with an expanded playoff and new redshirt rules, you will see more and more young players

getting action in the years to come. And you will see more mistakes. But there are really only so many minutes in a game. ND already has played @ 45 players, according to participation snap stats - so who do you take snaps from to add more players?

I just think the ND coaches think it is NOT worth the risk right now, because you lose a game you should win and your season is over. ND has been among the best in fewest penalties and turnovers in recent years and that is a testament to playing players who can be TRUSTED.
