Whether it be falling behind or changing majors in midstream, I'm sure that there are numerous examples of this at ND. The point is, however, that it does not apply here. JT had finished his undergraduate work and graduated with his bachelor's degree. It wasn't a question of letting him have another year to take more undergraduate classes. He was no longer of a student status that would allow for that. He would have to go through the process of applying for and being admitted into a graduate program. That window to complete that process is, apparently, closed.
