The current radar as of 6:20 pm actually looks good. Future radar looks bizarre

If...if...the current radar holds, it appears the rain won't be near as bad as the forecast. But in looking at the future radar, it all of a sudden shows the rain area strangely getting larger exponentially.

That makes no sense. I'm not saying it couldn't happen but most of the time rain in the Midwest doesn't work that way.
