I'm sure CMF wanted to establish the run going in and Denbrock planned accordingly.

Problem is, once it was clear MSU was geared toward stopping the run, Denbrock (as always) didn't adjust and unleash CJ.

CMF can work with him during the week on the gameplan, but the OC has to be able to see what's going on and make adjustments, which Denbrock, like BK, is not good at.

Short of taking over the play calling, the HC has to rely on his coordinators to do their jobs in game. CMF just has a very average OC.
