Reminds me of a Holtz championship season progession

Boring offense at the beginning of the season that doesn’t show much. Gets better as the season progresses. Offensive Line develops each week, a few play makers emerge, etc. You don’t want to peak too soon.

I think Freeman may have also learned not to be too complicated on offense early in the season given early season losses to inferior opponents.
