Running Game & Tight Ends

IdahoIrish 7 replies View All
Every time they'd move the TE in motion, they'd end up running the ball. Flanagan lined up in theLanceManion ·
We will look back in a handful of years hating that ND wasted the best passer since Clausen. DespitWestCoastIrishFan ·
I agree with everything you said and if we don't reach our goals this seasonIrishChristopher ·
Amen, WestCoast! You nailed it! Denbrock sucks!NTIrishize ·
ND as Tight End U.SteveM ·
Very limited TE production in the passing game at the expense of the run gameNTJerseymick ·
I think we're predictable and conservativeiairishcheeks ·

What's the verdict on our fake punt? (It was done on 4th and 13).NT

Hate and it will tell u why. Freeman is fine being aggressive .ndphysics ·
Understood. It’s not I don’t like a fake punt but play the whole game with an edge. Be aggressive wndphysics ·
See what you mean but it's a lot less expected on STNTRocketman84 ·
Not a bad call for your fastest player but the stumble caused him to be short and not get outsideNTRocketman84 ·
If he had cut to the outside prior to being tackled, he's got a TE blocker and easily would havefaircatchcorby ·
Intended do but he stumbled turning the corner...happens often when you mix 4.3 speed w/wet surfacesNTRocketman84 ·
Bad time to run itNDNEIL ·
Agree, but we all would have loved it if it worked.NTiairishcheeks ·
Even if it were successfulhipND ·
Almost doesn’t count except horshoes and hand grenades. Good time to try it.NTLanceManion ·
Use someone who knows how to read a block, and someone who is faster. It was open to the outside.NTBaronVonZemo ·
Totally agree. See my comment above. I wrote mine before seeing yours.NTfaircatchcorby ·
Wonder if his stumble led to the misread blockNTJerseymick ·
100%...it's a much larger gain if he didn't stumble hitting the cornerNTRocketman84 ·
Use someone faster.NTAlbanyIRISH ·
Can't be serious. He's argubly the teams fastest player. Needed someone not nervous.Karamello ·
Can get faster than the fastest player on the roster, guy ran 10.4 in 10th gradeNTRocketman84 ·
Robinson is one of the fastest players on the team.NTClem ·
He wasn't fast enough.NTAlbanyIRISH ·
No one is when they run to darkness.NTClem ·

Great Call IMO, Great Execution, just fell short a couple of yards. MSU stayed discipline...NTKWIRISH ·
I thought it was a good time for a fake before it was run. Just didn't happen.NTmichiganirish ·
Good call, wrong ball carrierndunabomber ·
It wasn't Moore, it was Robinson (announcer was wrong). If it were Moore, he would have gotten it...BaronVonZemo ·
One of the top 5 but Robinson is the fastest by a good bitNTRocketman84 ·
Noah made many gaffs last night.AlbanyIRISH ·
Think it was Brayden Robinson, not Moore.Clem ·
Cut the wrong way on the run, inside instead of outNTjamie ·
Yup, he stays outside and he had the angle on the defenderNTFisher01 ·
I agree 100% and yelled it at the time. Zigged when he should have zagged.ELP ·
This what I saw too. The block was made for the runner to break outside.NTDomer From Hell ·

Back from the game. Thanks to the weather gods for going fairly easy on us. Some thoughts.

As far as Carr checking down, don’t u think the entire offensive staff and freemanndphysics ·
Agree. The O gameplan reeks of risk aversion.LanceManion ·
I doubt it. With this defense, I think freeman wants no turnovers and 20 to 30ndphysics ·
Don't think this is on CMF. As frequently as he goes for it on 4th down, he wants points.NTClem ·
If he does he might want to tell denbrock. As the HC you are responsible of the OCndphysics ·
I'm sure CMF wanted to establish the run going in and Denbrock planned accordingly.Clem ·
If the D in the last 18 mins of the game is our D, might work. Otherwise …NTLanceManion ·
Yep. Hate this approach. Score points and play to win. Defensendphysics ·

AW is a typical 3rd down backD2 ·
The entire offense participated including CJ, so it’s more than just AneyasNTJerseymick ·
