It's not uncommon for people to cover themselves either with a towel or swim trunks if they're more comfortable with that. This is extra common with teenage boys, simply trying to avoid any embarrassment from perfectly normal and harmless bodily functions. I don't think I have to spell out exactly what I mean by that.
