Dr. Fauci has earned, over five decades, the respect of American Presidents, fellow Infectious Disease physicians, HIV/AIDS sufferers...and the American public...for applying Evidence Based Medicine for the benefit of this country's health. The truth regarding these attacks on a treasured medical resource is that he would not bow to a malignant President in a time of national crisis...a President who would go to any lengths to 'destroy' someone who would publicly go against him.

Never forget that it was Dr. Fauci who, because of his medical expertise, coordination with Moderna, and governmental process understanding, "Fast Tracked" Moderna's mRNA-1273 vaccine into Phase 1 trials just TWO DAYS after receipt of the COVID-19 genome from China...that was in mid-Jan., 2020...while his 'Boss' was "downplaying" the virus and calling it a 'Hoax' for months.

I advocate the vaccine in adults for personal protection against a more severe disease - especially in high risk people. But to force it upon someone else was ridiculous, and the data for it was not there. Further, to force it on low risk setting children when the risk of the vaccine equals or exceeds the risk of the disease is despicable. They did this to the children selfishly and with cowardice back when they thought it might decrease overall spread to adults. They sacrificed the childrens best interest to help potentially help themselves (not much of a surprise when you consider their view on abortion).
Now they STILL push this in the form of requiring it to attend school as a required vaccination because of the political pressure from the Teacher's Union.

Also, research has been permanently damaged by Fauci's actions. Everyone in the academic community knew what result was expected. Real research was squelched and even defunded. Reputations were ruined when some chose to ask questions and call out the problem.
Major medical journals published false studies that they knew were not properly done.

I think he was given the wrong platform for someone in his position, and I think he developed quite a God Complex over the years.

I think he was unfairly blamed for power-hungry leftist groups using his cautious advice as a vehicle for various power-grabbing agendas. And, yes, I believe he delivered guidance that steered medical decisions in the direction that enriched him personally.

It should be a personal choice just like the flu vaccine. If the teachers are vaccinated, what are they worried about? 99% of people will recover fine from a Covid infection. The hospital system where I live won’t even recommend the current new boosters for Omicron because they said it is not a game changer.

Doctors need to be careful about expressing their opinion in these dangerous censorship and cancel culture times though.

There are always political zealots in every field, and this admin actively promotes them. Any doctor with good training, honesty, and who has been paying attention sees the problems with Fauci.

As for the kids...I have personally observed how they can become "superspreaders" of COVID...while they rarely suffer severe consequences, they interact with a wide number of people who can, and do, suffer gravely...that is a key reason why they need to be vaccinated. As the virus has mutated, the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing spread has waned significantly, but not their protection from severe illness and they still provide some aid in mitigating spread...we'll know more in awhile about the new the new targeted vaccines...but one thing is certain, the vaccines are very safe and so the risk/benefit of vaccination favors getting shots.

While, thanks to vaccines, our hospitals are not currently experiencing an overwhelming threat, with a still unacceptable ~150,000 deaths per year and a potential seasonal increase in cases, it is wise medicine to not let up on preventative measures...at least that's how ID professionals think...

btw, when you think in terms of 99% surviving a bout with COVID, you need to also appreciate that means at least several hundred thousand Americans are still potential victims...and those who don't succumb can and do suffer long term effects that significantly affect their quality of life.

We're getting better, but we are by no means done with COVID.

As a doctor, Fauci disgusts me for what he has done. He has permanently damaged the public trust in government healthcare organizations. He has also enriched himself greatly in the process, and been given adulation by many.

The damage to the education of our country's children, to the jobs of many, and to greater division between even family members falls squarely on his shoulders - he was the "expert" that the media and the Biden WH put out there. Everyone waited on his words. He could have ended the Lock Down, and he knew that he should. But he did not. He prolonged his own adulation and responded to the political needs of others. I include Walensky in this criticism.

Moderna's life saving mRNA-1273 vaccine into Phase 1 trials...thanks to his scientific knowledge of mRNA technology, liaison with Moderna's work and deep understanding of how government processes function...THANK GOD a man with his talents and abilities was there when we needed it most.

Baron has shown for years now how incredibly biased and hateful he is toward anyone he even suspects as being Liberal...he has lost all objectivity and sadly it extends into his own field of medicine.

Poor guy had to be wrong on the Shut Down, school closures, masking,the vaccine preventing spread, and vaccinations of healthy children.

My opinions are based on his actions. I don't expect perfection - but I do expect competence. I expect him to say "we don't know yet, so this is our best recommendation at this time" rather than "The science clearly states this" when the latter is known not to be the case.

I also do not expect a person in his positon to use it for personal, political, and financial gain. It is absolutely false to say that "anyone in his position would have had this problem".

He absolutely ravaged our country and our children.
