I was thinking of just leaving it in the garage and when we come home it would be there but I am open to other suggestions.

to run its yours, took a few weeks but I got it to run after replacing the trans. It was a beaut, a 1960 Mercury Monterey, white over dark green, sweet... and this was in 1973... damm I wish I still had that car today!!!
These two deserve each other....
They took her outside and surprised her with a new Pathfinder, she said "I'm supposed to love THAT?" Then of course, they wheel in her new Mercedes SUV.
Spoiled bitch is more like it.
If so, I would really think twice about it.
If its a used car, just leave a gift box on her bed with the keys inside. Then drive her to the dealership to get it.

They brought in the mail and were sifting through the envelopes one Sunday afternoon, giving me one of them as if it were a regular letter addressed to me. I opened it and found a thick sheet of construction paper inside with a key taped to it.
That was pants-shitting #1.
They then took me to a used lot filled up with pre-owned cars and had me walk around for awhile testing different vehicles with the key until I slipped it into one that "clicked."
That was pants-shitting #2.
The added fun for Part 2 of this routine (for them) is that they kept leading me over towards gigantic pieces of rusted-out shit. My terrified, trembling hand would insert the key into the slot of such cars as a 1975 Buick LeSabre, and gratefully see that it wouldn't unlock the door. After trying to unlock many of these dumpy tanks (at my parents' amused direction), I was twice as thrilled to "find" my car, because I was so afraid by that point that I might end up with one of the beaters.
For added fun, they did it on a weekend day when I had a buddy at the house. It may be a lot of fun for her to have one of her girlfriends around to join in.
And, if you pull it off, you should stay up surfing channels late that night after the wifey heads up to bed, and the still-excited friend of your daughter may come downstairs and express to you just how cool of a dad you are by slathering your knob.

Although I certainly hope that Brad didn't head down to the living room in the middle of that night with my stepdad watching television and.........you know, what, fuck it - we're not going to even finish this joke.
Jake when you get a daughter your thoughts will change on the hot friends. Or maybe I have turned gay in my old age. Either way it stinks!
Does she currently drive an old beater? If that's the case, do what my dad did to me. He came to school right after lunch, found my old car in the student lot and replaced it with my new car.
your kind gesture blowing up in your face!
and a child molestor if you waited to wrap it in a ribbon at the school.
Keep the car away from the school.

Jakers on this one and yours on the other one.
If she's still in school, let her take your car to school that day. What she doesn't know is that on your key chain, you've added the key to her new car. Then, before school's out, drive her new car to the school and switch it with yours (obviously in the same parking spot, so she doesn't think it was stolen). Put an envelope with her name on it in big bold letters under the wiper blade and inside have a note that says whatever you want in terms of explaining why you got her the car, and that the new key is on the key chain.
It'll be a nice surprise for her, and her hot friends will think you're the coolest dad in the county.
step daughter who has started college - these friends are new and I haven't known them since they were 10. When they come by I just leave the room. My daughter's friends I still see them as kids - Frankly I hope and assume that I always will. I guess you have confirmed my fears that I am the only one that thinks this way.
Also - since my daughter is a teenager - I have no desire to go to a Hooter's at this point in time.
