It should be completely decriminalized and taxed. Imagine the revenue gain and don't preach about it being a "gateway" drug. There are more violent crimes due to alcohol.

If a state decides to legalize it, imagine the federal funding Washington can then withold from that state?

there is no way for something of this nature to be exclusive to a state in my opinion...

it's all or nothing...

one state may set different legal age limits than another...

but i can't see where one can and the other can't...

I HIGHly doubt that. It would be nice to turn around the DEA budget and maybe use it to fight the global sex trade/female slavery.

Why just marijuana? It's 30 times as addictive as it was "back in the day".

Why not legalize "possession" drugs (under a certain amount), and just punish selling such drugs, possession over a certain weight, and conduct under the influence of drugs, .... such as driving, child endangerment, etc.

They're not gonna catch us. We're on a mission from God.

If marijuana is legalized, it WILL be addictive.

Marijuana is a habit-forming drug. It might be hard for some people to kick the habit, but your body cannot physiologically be addicted to it.

Then, it will be more addicting and make people crave more sweet, delicious Coke products.

Marijuana is illegal and tobacco is legal essentially because tobacco farmers had better lobbyists--MUCH better lobbyists.

A chemist friend of mine once explained it to me this way: an ounce of pure marijuana will make you feel good, an ounce of pure cocaine will addict you, and an ounce of pure nicotine will kill you.

My point was more directed at the idiocy of legalized nicotine.

Cocaine might give you a heart attack, but pure nicotine is pure poison. Its toxicity is comparable to cyanide, and one drop of 40 milligrams of pure uncut crack nicotine smoked in a glass pipe has a 50% chance of killing an adult. To put it another way, the toxicity of nicotine is so off-the-charts that the amount of nicotine a smoker ingests from an average cigarette is a quite nearly microscopic 1.5 milligrams, and research shows manufacturers would have to cut this level by an additional 95% for cigarettes to not be addictive. And that shit is LEGAL?
