Those evil HATERS! Yet the usual suspects continue to be duped.
You would think they might learn from all of this, and the repeated times they make fools of themselves.
You would be wrong. It’s as if they are Kevin Bacon in Animal House - ‘Thank you sir, may I have another!’.

Those damn guns at it again. Remember, it’s always the guns!!

Well, it is the person if he can be tied to a conservative cause.
Otherwise, it is the guns.
Just for example, the Dems make no effort to disarm urban voters.

Of course, it’s not the ease in which killers get the weapons, it’s that they
jimbasil55199 postssmoke dope, use heroin, have mental issues - definitely not the acquisition of the guns.

Jim, do you not find it remarkable that we don't address the other constant in all these mass...
shootings? Why do you think that is?
-
Level 3
The constant being guns - yes?
jimbasil55199 posts(no message)Jack, he is a banker
and Jane, she is a clerk-
Level 4
Two constants, Jim. I asked for the other one, namely, mind-altering drug abuse. Every time.
Why won't you discuss it?
-
Level 5
Um, what's to discuss? A shooter with a history of heroin abuse is, what?
jimbasil55199 postsSo were to discuss that heroin abuse leads to being a gun toting homophobic mass murder? What's the constant?
There must be hundreds of thousands to many millions of heroin users in the US and all of them are now homophobic
killers because you think there's a constant there? It's the guns and access to them. There's the constant. Nothing to discuss other than how do we stop the gun flow
and access to what's out there already. Since you're not reasonable in your initial thesis, there is no discussion.Abusing Heroin is not a gateway to mass murder.
Jack, he is a banker

Level 6
Wait, you're unaware of the connection between drug abuse and criminal behavior?
(no message)-
Level 7
The same way I'm unaware being a Democrat means you eat babies.

Level 7
Jim holds two competing perspectives on gun violence
1) when it's perpetrated by people, it's a gun problem.
2) when it's perpetrated by people who have a badge, it's a people problem.Thats it. That's the entirety of Jim's thoughts on this matter; and it's the extent of what he's able to comprehend. If you bring mind altering drugs into the equation, the decision tree looks like this...
- was it a normal citizen? If yes, guns.
- was it police? If yes, then possibly drugs. Drugs and racism. For sure racism.-
Level 8
No, no he doesn’t. You’re inventing bullshit, again, stark.

Always the ridiculous! but yes, when people are shot with bullets, it's usually from guns.
jimbasil55199 postsSo, the constant is guns - something you and your brethren seem to avoid, deflect and blame other conditions
but never the apparatus, (the ease in which they are attained) being used in the murder and mass-murder of our
neighbors, friends, and family.Go ahead - tell me it isn't the guns
Jack, he is a banker
and Jane, she is a clerk-
Level 6
Is that a yes for disarming the police?
Here's the problem, it's not one thing or the other. I realize that simple minds need to make things simple, but it's not simple.
You have to start with the problem that guns exist. That fact alone complicates everything. We can say, "let's take away the guns," but until you take them away from everyone, everywhere (not possible) you have a massive problem.
You are just pissing in the wind.
-
Level 7
Is that more of your cognitive dissonance?
jimbasil55199 postsNo, here's the problem - Guns are easily attainable and your type ignore the fact, assault style weapons kill en masse and you and your knuckleheads
along with your elected crazies have perpetuated falsehoods about guns for decades. Guns kill people and assault weapons meant for war are used
in mass shootings more often than not. They are easy to get and easy to use. Guns and access to them are the problem.Everything else is smoke screen - like your moronic post.

I don't know if I have the patience for this type of stupidity today.
First, you're terrified of Trump, you know it's possible that Trump could get re-elected, and you support policies that potentially give Trump control over all guns. Let's ignore that though.
I'm more curious about how you would write the law to ban assault style guns. First you'd have to define an assault style gun, so how do you define it?
-
Level 9
As of May 1, 2020 the Government of Canada has prohibited over 1,500 models of assault-style firearm
You can read the rest of the linked Canadian government announcement, which includes a statement on hand guns...as a reference for how to write an even stronger "Brady Bill" which was enacted here in the USA.
Fewer guns leads to fewer gun deaths...works like a charm everywhere else...what's holding a great country like ours back?

Level 10
Are you proposing repealing the 2nd Am., or just ignoring it / interpreting it so it means nothing?
Canadian freedoms have always existed at the discretion of Parliament. We have a different system here, for better of for worse.
Constitutional issues aside, what about practical issues? How do you plan on confiscating weapons in the inner city crime zones?

Of course they did. They march ever closer to facism.
You: We should give the govt more power.
Also you: Trump might get re-elected and that terrifies me.-
Level 11
Is Australia fascist?...Japan?...UK?...stop using inane tropes...all of those countries have chosen
to restrict gun ownership and as a result have FAR fewer gun related homicides, accidents and suicides.
The U.S. needs to grow up and act responsibly...i.e. better than you.

Australia was putting people in internment camps last summer, so yes. The answer is yes.

'Politifact's score on your claim..."Pants on Fire" FALSE (see link)...just another 'Tell' that I'm
right and you're desperate for a defense...the evidence is irrefutable...democratic countries...of which all I noted are...have MUCH FEWER gun homicides, accidents and suicides than the U.S....because of their strict gun laws...what could possibly be wrong with that?
-
Level 14
You're being stupid again.

Level 15
Read my link...the quarantine was for Australian travelers re-entering the country only...and they
were confined for 14 days only in a facility that met all their needs...not unlike other countries that confined travelers to hotels for about the same amount of time...oh, and our own state of Hawaii did something very similar.
You're being hysterical over this.

All the nations you listed have strong borders and a population that is willing to be subjugated.
Maybe the United States does need to "grow up," just like the United States needs more unicorns, and maybe the United States needs stronger borders, but I doubt you will allow the latter, and I doubt the former will change any time soon, at least outside of urban areas.
Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.-
Level 13
As a Libertarian it's not surprising that you would have trouble observing nations that consider
the "Common Good" superior to "Individual Wants"...as for borders, that's a pure 'Red Herring' deflection...case in point...we saw the Brady Bill cut gun deaths nearly in half...had nothing to do with "Borders"...we can do this again...and even better...in fact, I believe we WILL.

And non-binary. Suddenly, this is no longer a "queer hate" issue.
I'm sure all the columns and tweets will be publicly redacted now.
-
Level 2
Was he nonbinary before the shootings though?
Or is he just trying to avoid man jail?
This asshole is playing chess with these people.
If they don't accept his claim that he's nonbinary, that opens up an entire can of worms wrt how you determine ones gender. If the do accept it, do you have to build a new prison for him?
-
Level 3
That is a brilliant strategy: guy gets arrested, must be sent to lady jail.
They have to honor his claim.
Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.-
Level 4
Reminds of the woman impregnating actual women in prison awhile back.
It's not like this wasn't predictable. What happens when all white cisgendered males in Gen Z identify as non-binary (while most marry women)? Maybe that will be the end of the nonsense. Now everyone is a minority, with lived experiences and such, and privilege will be no more.

Why was his arrest record sealed by the prosecutor? Did the police give him his guns and ammo
Back after the arrest or did he buy new ones? Could this be another soft on crime DA.
