Pittsburgh continues to lead the nation in natural population decline, which is a sad thing.
Hopefully they can turn that around soon, before the media starts to focus on why more people die in this hilly coal country than are born there.
Natural decline means that the slow pace of childbirth in this city is exceeded by the death of its mostly elderly residents. If in no other way, Pittsburgh is a leader in this. I suppose that is a potential source of civic pride for some.
