do yourself a favor and bookmark this link for future discussions on "Immigration"...btw, Ned...you could have found this yourself if you really cared...took just seconds...would have answered your questions...
As for our recent surge in aspirants, IMO we need more money...that the GOP doesn't want to spend...targeted on this problem...i.e. more attorneys, judges, etc. to process the applications...and concurrently, more policy discussion in Congress on the higher level decisions that for example affect future GDP concerns (how much more immigration?...what qualifications?).

Thank God for Joe Biden and the Democrats.
Would you personally use race as a factor in selecting legal immigrants?
Would you use other group desigators which are race proxies such as country of origin?
We don't need to do any googling to find out your opinion, do we? This is easily answered. I shouldn't have to go to a web page written by someone else to get your opinion.
(see link)...had you done a little research you'd know how the system works and known that it is NOT BASED ON RACE...I posted the overview of U.S. Immigration quotas...which you could have accessed...to demonstrate the facts of the matter....and because I chose that document, you'd be safe in assuming I agreed with it.
Now, as for your requests...
>No, I don't favor RACE as a determinant...I favor PEOPLE'S NEEDS and our country's needs, as well as ability to absorb them as determinants...unlike our former President who did use the term "S__ Hole Countries" as a determinant...which covers your second question.
Ned, you make up problems that don't exist...our immigration system is not set up on racial grounds...we take in people from all over the world and by definition they represent multiple races...I provided documentation to prove that so as to help you understand...my opinion is that you won't accept it.

I never asked you what our national policy is. You acting like I'm lazy for not researching something i never asked about is typical offensive tyrone. I asked your personal opinion, and you avoided answering.
You pretend other people have problems they don't have. That debate technique works on the stupid (your base, as identified by Dem leadership). It doesn't work on others. So, I can only assume you don't care to change anyone's minds.
My flight takes off soon, so I expect you will create a straw man and then attack it, especially since you will have the last word for awhile. I would love to be proved wrong.

And why would you try to make it look like I was asking about official policy, when I was asking your personal opinion? Attempting to dodge my questions again. So tedious. Or, are you finally admitting that you personal opinions are dictated by others?
that I agree with negotiated (which the are) quotas for all sorts of categories...including immigrants with "Special Skills" along with those who fleeing their homelands out of fear for their and their families lives...it's all in the link I provided you....why can't you connect the dots on that simple assessment?...Correction: Baron posts links he doesn't agree with (e.g. "MIT Report" on masking ;-).
Also, are you going blind, Ned?...my post used the term "IMO" which means "In My Opinion"...DUH!...I gave you my opinion on what should be done to make the situation BETTER....just stop making inane comments...read more...investigate more...THINK more...before posting.
"Ned...you could have found this yourself if you really cared...took just seconds...would have answered your questions..." you said...As if I should have known that particular site was published by you. Was it written by you?
I guess you were trying to make me look lazy or uncaring? I guess you can just Google for my personal responses to your posts. If you fail to do so, you must not care.

And also no limits on TPS, and no way to effectively remove those who overstay the many forms of temporary visas.
I’m not saying this is good or bad, but there are really no effective limits if an administration wants to grant asylum, extend TPS, and not pursue those who overstay their temporary visas.
deal with the surge in petitioners, plus cooperation between the federal and state gov'ts when it comes to placing and following those allowed into the country....not unannounced and unanticipated "Drop Offs" in the middle of the night.
As for limits on asylum, there are 'Presidential Limits' set...note this excerpt from the link above...
---------------
Of the 62,500 admissions determined by the president for FY 2021, the regional allocations are shown in Table 3 below. Given the slow pace of admissions, it is unlikely that any of these allocations will be met.

We aren't being "overrun"...it could be argued that we are "under maned" given the demographic issue I brought up and its implications for GDP growth.
You remind me of McSweeney, but with a much larger bent.
WTF chooses a name like "Tyrone"? I smell the dark side in you.
