A friend of mine was attacked by a road raging lunatic yesterday
Just saw him a couple of weeks ago. Known him for years. A dear friend of my cousins.
Pray for him.
Odd that the news did not mention the attacker was black.

Sounds just horrible
So the guy got out of his car, punched your friend through the window, and then ran him over when he staggered out of his car?
That’s attempted murder. Hopefully it stays “attempted.” All the best to your friend.
Road rage is a phenomenon that separates the assholes from the rest of us.

The only reason my friend got out of his car
was because the attacker reached in and grabbed his keys.
Car keys were attached to his business keys his house keys and his mother’s house keys. She just got out of the hospital and he was caring for her.
He asked for his keys back, the guy hit him with his car, backed up, gunned it forward and ran over him.
Insane.

Sorry to hear that. It's obscene. Older Asian/black/white people, gay people, disabled people...
need to start arming themselves. Point blank. You are their targets again and again, every day of the week in cities across the country. They target the most vulnerable and think it's funny. More and more cities will surrender to The Madness and institute bail reform, allowing more of these violent fatherless bastards back out onto the streets to prowl as the number of cops fall from retirements and flights to the private sector. I don't know how Pittsburgh is right now with regard to these issues, but most every major city in the country is vulnerable to The Madness. There will not be police around, in all likelihood, when the attack begins. These predators are getting a clear message that the police have been disempowered and they, the violent criminals, have been empowered.

An armed society is a paranoid society
Guns are not the answer. I know black people are raging in your fevered imagination, but more guns won’t help.

Level 4
You were half right then as you are now.
Their culture creates these monsters. Society allows them easy access to a wealth of firepower. Bad combo.

Level 5
That's the first piece of dogma: it's entirely environmental.
Change the environment and the individual changes. We have a better understanding of biology and genetics. It appears that, at the very least, we have genes that influence impulsivity. Everyone here probably had an experience with a family growing up or as adults in which the parents were, the other children were fine, yet there was that one sibling unlike the others. Mean, violent, impulsive, miscreant type. That isn't environmental. What happens when females in particular groups in society procreate with large numbers of men with these traits? Well, we see what happens. Mix in the environment with absent fathers, the decay of institutions, like the church, attacks on the the police and the legitimacy of law enforcement, and you have the violent crime rates we have right now. We delude ourselves when we talk ourselves into believing that this is all environmental. It's naive and it's ignorant of biology and genetics. We have bad seeds. A lot of them. The most current research on child sociopaths is pretty depressing. Once they get past a young age, without serious intervention, the prospects are pretty dismal.

I never said entirely. No question that culture and environment play a huge, dominant role.
Lack of both proper male and female role modeling/parenting being a particular problem.
I don’t buy the violence genetics issue. I do buy that incredibly easy access to cheap firearms and drugs is a major part of it.

Level 7
I know you don't. Accepting it would necessitate other uncomfortable conclusions.
I used to be right where you are.

How do you explain this, MAS?...I'm assuming these three Texans came from 'nuclear families'...could
it be that there's a disgusting 'White Gene' that kicks in every once in awhile due to "epigenetics"? Read that entire Wikipedia summary...James Byrd just needed a ride home...he did absolutely nothing wrong...his mother was a Sunday School teacher and his father was a church Deacon...James was a husband and father to three children, and worked as a vacuum salesman.
Note also the subsequent racial responses from 'White Supremacists' across the country in support of the killers...your constant bias here isn't helping.
Please stop with the 'Genetics' trope...and as for arming every Tom, Dick and Harry...you're asking for legalized mayhem...and you know it...quit acting like a simpleton.

There is a “Texas gene” that makes white Texans disproportionately prone to violence.
He’s gettin near the nutty farm, that one.

Level 8
It’s the same clap trap the nativists in the 19th century said about first the Irish and then the
subsequent Eastern and Southern European Catholic immigrants.
You know, before they became accepted as fellow “white people”.
-
Level 9
Logical fallacy.
Are you arguing that there is no genetic influence over impulsivity? What about the thousands and thousands of examples of the familial situation I described?
No one disputes the presence of environmental factors. It's a question of degree. Most outside of science dispute genetic factors because it makes them intensely uncomfortable. That's dangerous, as we now see.
-
Level 10
Not at all. In fact that was one of the old arguments, the alleged impulsivity of certain groups.
Funny, you don’t hear it any more about those more recently accepted as white.
People like you flit from one dogma to another. Not surprising that you once held different but equally dogmatic beliefs.
When the violence gene is isolated by racial group, let me know.
-
Level 11
Uhm, no they aren’t despite your assertions.
It’s yer go to when you don’t have a cogent response.
Again show me the study that links group genetics to violent behavior.
-
Level 12
Genetic fallacy and the strawman argument.
You, of course, knew that I never argued that violent, antisocial behavior is confined to particular racial groups. You were lying.
Your argument that 19th century racists invoked something barely similar to what research now teaches us is the genetic fallacy.
I should add in the ad hominem, as well: my assertion is untrue because I'm just a dogmatist.
Well done.
-
Level 13
Strawman. Never said you “confined it to one group”.
I simply ask you to cite the study that genetically links a greater predisposition to violence to any particular racial group or groups as opposed to others.
Their argument was also more than barely similar, it’s almost identical.

-
Level 11
Two logical fallacies, now.
You can't debate honestly.
Do you feel the discomfort on this subject? That's a good thing, not a bad thing.
-
-
Level 10
More science...meta-analysis.
"Medium to large effect sizes were found for genetic influences across studies, with approximately 50% of the variance in measures of antisocial behavior attributable to genetic effects. Although effect sizes did not vary across different definitions of antisocial behavior (criminality, aggression, or antisocial personality), significantly larger estimates of genetic effect were found for severe manifestations of antisocial behavior. "

I piss in your general direction.

Don't even start that crap. The people for whom you vote and the MSM fixate on it and we respond.
And they're so colossally stupid that they can't get through their thick heads that when they cloak the true color of violent crime, it produces the opposite reaction they claim to want. The reverse dog whistle. "Systemic racism! Systemic racism!" And then people scoff at that and/or mock it and the response from the dullards screaming about race all the time come back with, "Why are you so obsessed with race?" Imbeciles.

Yes, and their racism has come to the fore lately.
Watch some of the videos of white Antifa members dropping the n-bomb and calling people "fags." It isn't about racial tolerance.
