China also has over 200 Nuclear Power Plants in their pipeline...but they need to pay for them with
earnings from today's coal fired plants...not ideal, and they could manage their grid better...but it is what it is...a messy "transition".
India and China are building new coal plants weekly.

and coal fired plants are much easier to build...NOW.
New Nuclear Power Plants take more time to build, approve and staff. You can't just snap your fingers. Fortunately, the Biden admin has passed legislation to get GEN-IV plants through the demonstration phase and hopefully into widespread construction by 2030...write your representatives, urging them to support this transition.

The only hope is that global emissions don't grow as rapidly in the future, but there can be no question that emissions will continue to rise strongly.
This is what you alarmist morons don't - or refuse to - grasp. It does not matter what we in the US do. Read that last sentence 100 times. This is why you look so foolish when you throw hissy fits over FL offshore windmills. Whether we all drive diesel F-350s or Teslas, heat our homes from open coal pits or solar power, eat steak for every meal or consume tofu burgers - IT DOES NOT MATTER.
Just one data point below. And this doesn't take into account the growing energy needs of emerging countries with large populations like Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Vietnam, Bangladesh. Our emissions could stay the same or decline materially, and it would make no difference whatsoever.

The department created the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve in 2014 after Superstorm Sandy left motorists scrambling for fuel. But storing refined fuel is costlier than storing crude oil, so closing the reserve was included in U.S funding legislation signed in March by Biden, a Democrat.
...Bob McNally, president of consultancy Rapidan Energy, said unlike the Strategic Petroleum Reserve that holds hundreds of millions of barrels of crude oil, the gasoline reserve was "too tiny to provide much energy security and won't be missed."
