…because it’s only illegal if you accept money before and not after the fact. Consider that Ailito and Thomas are both accused of taking improper gifts, you can smell the rot from within the Supreme Court. If Trump is elected, this gets much worse.

I certainly get that those who want open borders, wealth redistribution, tolerance of every imaginable perversion, regulation of all private enterprise by DC bureaucrats and the cancelling of those with anti-woke sentiments are never going to be influence by any of my critiques.
So we post here just to calm our own anxieties.

Let's posit that Trump is a nasty person and move on to the substance of the policy differences.
I never felt threatened that Jan 6 was an insurrection or that Trump was not going to vacate the White House.
NOBODY is going to support a coup on his behalf.
He's just a narcissistic blowhard... and we all see it.
So he is a useful foil against the excesses of the left.
Romney would have been a great President but he was a lousy entertainer and rolled over when the left lied about him.

You miss the point Curls. The policy issues I most have with him are his demonstrated willingness
to abuse power. 1/6 is a good example. The riot at the Capitol gets all the attention and he did assemble it and send it there. However, he also pressured Pence to illegally refuse to certify the election and was the driving force behind the fake elector scheme. If the latter 2
things had happened, if Pence hadn’t grown a pair that day for which MAGA wanted him hanged, we would have had a full blown crises. Taking all 3 together and adding in the Raffenensburg call, he is provably unfit to serve. Read Project 2025 if you don’t think he is serious about upending our current system of govt. He is a menace to the nation. Fellow travelers like you and others here who refuse to take him seriously, are dead wrong.On foreign policy, he will sell Ukraine down the river and act as a whiting or unwitting pawn of Putin.

I respectfully just don't see the country allowing him to create a dictatorship.
He says crazy shit but there are a gazillion folks in positions of power who would never let him get away with anything remotely dictatorial, including SCOTUS and the military.
