Biden flips over on Defund the Police to Trump’s position-acknowledging disastrous policy

Now he flip flops to say that we need to spend more money to hire more police officers to greater than pre pandemic numbers.

Boy those Dem polling numbers for midterm elections must really, really suck.

        He is such a liar. Even now, we see him at press conferences answer a question both ways and the MSM let’s him get away with it. It hear he said he wants to redirect funds which is the same thing to have it both ways.
        
        But the biggest thing is that he allowed defunding to happen in many cities across the land under his watch. Trump would have worked to blocked it.
        
        Oh, and of course you probably forgot the police pulling their support from the DNC and Biden admitting that he had lost the police.

Actually, The Charles Koch Institute is in agreement with BLM leaders, in that they both

believe that 'militarization' of the police is not in the public interest (see link)..."Defunding the Police" is not a policy ascribed to by BLM according to a video on their website...and certainly not by the Democratic Party...what is recommended is a) providing more police resources where needed, but also b) taking some $$ from SWAT teams and other 'militaristic' uses and using them to fund non-lethal means of intervention.

Biden is putting a program together - with funding - that tackles this serious issue...I don't remember anything being done on it over the previous four years...unless violent crime just started on Jan. 20th.

    BLM and Biden/Handlers wanted this to happen. Various cities including Minneapolis and NYC actually did so. They didn't care about all of the obvious crime that would result. They didn't care as the death counts racked up. But then the Dems did their internal polling and saw what a bloodbath the 2022 midterm elections were going to be and voila: flip flop and blame the other side for thei ractions. Shameless.

        against the militarization of police and no knock warrants...,but missed where they called specifically for defunding.
        
        Do see this quote with respect to monies spent: "These activities cost taxpayers over $126 billion each year for federal, state, and local police protection. It is essential that we ensure that these investments in public safety are focused on maintaining a safe and orderly society where individual liberty and property rights are secure."
        
        That seems to advocate a responsible use of existing funding as opposed to "defunding".

        'tongue in cheek' connection I made between the Charles Koch stance and BLM...now you want to go full-on "Literal"? Actually, in my mind there is more than a tenuous connection here...the BLM video you posted elsewhere is 'exactly' what I'm talking about...both believe that current police spending is misplaced...while BLM advocates shifting "some" funding to community programs, Koch doesn't go there...but neither is advocating for flat out "defunding" to the point of putting public safety at risk.

        ...actually says...and I did watch the entire BLM video espousing defunding the police. Because they wish to direct the funds to other areas does not mean they do not wish to defund the police. They do...and say so.
        
        Is there a slight overlap because BLM espouses demilitarization as part of their overall defunding agenda. Why yes there is.

        BLM called for direct defunding of regular police departments - not just SWAT, etc..So did Biden who wanted funds "redirected" from the police - the everyday police. And it was done with predictably disastrous consequences that Trump warned you about.
        Now you try to sculpt a different demand from BLM after the fact. And you offer the evidence of what their now updated website says AFTER the disaster that they wrought?!
        
        PS - The Koch Institute carries no water anyways. They were quite unfriendly to Trump to the point of doing anything they could to hurt him. True "Never Trumpers". Will you be telling us what George Will says?
