As a rookie, Bill told his Pistons’ teammates, “I am the only guy in this locker room whose dad makes more than his son.”

Lovely, Bill. Great icebreaker!

Their parents make a lot more than Bill's father.

Billions more.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Though he graduated from Notre Dame, Laimbeer hates ND and never has anything to do with it.

I saw him cheering for ND’s women’s team in the national championship game in early 2000’s

For what reason does he hate ND?

He was kicked out of ND for failing grades early on and had to go to a college in Ohio to get back.

Monty Williams also held a grudge for a long time against ND, because ND didn't let him play for two years because of his heart condition. I think Brey helped repair that relationship. But Laimbeer has never come back for any events that I have seen, even when they put Digger's banner up in the rafters. I mean, is anyone really surprised that Bill Laimbeer has a problem with everyone? His best friend was supposedly Isaiah, and Laimbeer got into a fistfight with him in practice and then immediately retired. As Larry Bird said, Bad Boys like Mahorn played dirty, but they weren''t trying to hurt opponents, or at least permanently injure opponents. Laimbeer was. Long after it was acceptable to undercut opponents, he tried doing that every time down the court. His signature move was to step on an opponent's foot. He did that one time too many and Robert Parish clobbered him. Barkley stood his ground against him, too.

Agreed. He wasn't merely playing "physical basketball."

He literally did illegal things to try to injure opponents and didn't care of how severe it may be. There was no place for it, and he never should have gotten away with it for so long.

He was always a selfish prick. Dirty as hell, too.
