Just attacks, and of course, the issue of 3 on 1 ganging up of the biased liberal moderators with Harris which seems to have not set well with the undecided voters may also play into it.

Veep candidate in 2020, he has consistently attacked her as a “DEI” who was unqualified and chosen solely because she was a black woman. Whelp, she sure took apart his guy like a surgeon last night, and has run a pretty decent campaign so far, all of which he claimed she could never do. Just like 2020 election night when he claimed that Orange had won and couldn’t be beaten. I feel sorry for his students who have to listen to this clown every day. Trump out-performed Harris for the first 15 minutes, then all three teamed up on him and the tide turned. In the same way that lawfair offends even traditional liberals, so too does the ABC team up when a candidate goes into a hostile environment.
Trump didn't do great after the first 15, but her flim flam and the tripartite attack made people paying attention take notice and focus on the substance. You know exactly what you are getting with Trump. KH using Biden-like tactics means she needs to differentiate herself in another way. She can't.
She'll want another debate, and Trump should demand Fox.

That's an understatement. The whole effort the last two years has been to circumvent the normal
election process. Of course they reject the concept of "fair play." The ends justify the means with these people, as it always does with radicals.

I'm sure that this is absolutely true. And legal. I won't dispute that. But why would anyone be okay with any party doing that? The G.O.P. establishment did NOT want Trump in 2016, but he kept winning primaries. And he won them all in 2024 again, despite my expensive wager that he wouldn't. So here he is.
Why are democrats accepting of this? Perhaps they really would've voted for Kommiela. Or not. But to just shoehorn her in without input for the voters directly spits in the face of the "democracy" they claim to be trying to "save."
Your Bernie reference is another good example. I get it: The establishment knows he's unlikeable and felt he'd lose 40 states. But the voters should be the ones weighing that and deciding it.
