It is true that 4 of the 5 nights of polling were pre debate, however, Rasmussen also found that " just 1% of the voters would pick another candidate and 2% remained undecided" and the debate results were mixed regardless of who won. Thus, the impact of the debate is likely very small regardless (as we all have assumed except in cases where the candidate drools and faces backwards at the podium.
