A condition of employment in a big law firm, or in public service (e.g. DA's office) is to pass the
bar exam w/in one year...she did that...not at all unusual (this from a law school professor)...btw, FDR and JFK both failed their bar exams on the first try, yet went on to be historically successful Presidents. As for MJ, this nation's majority of opinion, including that of Republicans, has undergone a change regarding that drug...why shouldn't politicians?

It’s not the hardest bar exam. Anyone can sit for the bar in CA. And the bar exam does not measure
Intelligence.
Note that both FDR and JFK failed their bar exams on the first try, yet went on to become very
successful and revered Presidents, so you're right that passing the bar exam on the first attempt isn't the 'be all and end all'...nonetheless, the consensus opinion of those in the legal field is that CA's exam is the toughest in the nation.

Talk to your family attorney. The CA bar is not the most difficult. The pass rate is low because one
Does not have to attend law school to sit for the bar. There are several other states that cover far more topics than the CA bar.
The bottom line is that Kamala Harris passed the CA bar exam on her 2nd try, 6 mos later and has
had an exemplary legal career...now a candidate for the office that other first time bar exam failures like FDR and JFK acceded to...President of the United States.

Plenty of people from decent law schools fail that bar once. It’s one of the harder ones, or at
least was when she took it. 93 though is right about the ridiculously low pass rate. The requirements to sit for it are much lower than elsewhere.
