...one thing especially you probably don't know is that any and all Gender Affirming Surgery patients get psychological counseling long before a rare surgery is performed, which each year represents only ~0.00002 of our population, with most of them being for breast removal. Also, the care givers come from the same Medical Schools and Teaching Hospitals that produce specialists for Bipolar Disease, Depression, etc.
Why are you so wrapped around your axle over this issue when those few who avail themselves of such surgeries are 94 - 100% satisfied with the results (per Cleveland Clinic)?...and yet you know so little about it?

...as shown to you already, the percentage of people in the U.S. seeking such treatment...after years of counseling...is incredibly small...and the medical protocol is to treat only adults...also, the satisfaction level is in the range of 94-100%...and finally, the rate of suicide ideation and attempts among those dealing with Gender Dysphoria is quite high, perhaps as high as 60% according to some studies...and too many of are successful...in part, thanks to folks who refuse to appreciate the unique stress they are under.
