When I took sociology in college, I took the one with a focus on women's studies.
My logic was that it was sociology and I was on an engineering track, so who cares which version of this required course as long as it fits my schedule (I was working already at the time).
So day one I walk in and it is all females and me. I'm thinking, I like the ratio, only to learn that all of these women hate men including the professor.
So I was the target of their disdain, obviously, and so in the beginning the professor would rip on whatever the equivalent of toxic masculinity was at the time and look at me while she was proselytizing. I didn't let it bother me and I spoke out a lot in class with the attitude of asking questions, trying to understand their perspective. Pretty soon the professor was calling on me regularly to provide a masculine perspective to the topic of the day.
In summary, all of these women ended up loving me and I got an A.
