How does the board feel about Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson?

Aside from what it says about the state of the sport of Boxing, that it's an "exhibition," that it's sad that Tyson still needs money, etc.......this seems dangerous. Tyson's almost 60 years old. Paul is 27, 3 inches taller, and carries his 225 pounds just a bit better than Tyson. He's not 1997 Evander Holyfield, but he's been consistently fighting professional fighters the last 3 years. Tyson's last action was waddling around the ring 4 years ago against an equally embarrassing Roy Jones. Before that, he was knocked out by "legendary superstars" Kevin McBride and Danny Williams, and that was 2 decades ago.

How exactly did this get sanctioned?

Was not a Tyson fan back in the day, see him in a different light now.

Some youtube social influencer clown taking on a HOF heavyweight legend. It sickens me. How the sport of boxing has fallen.

No doubt Mike is doing it for the money, but Mike is not destitute. He has remade himself into a non-boxing celebrity, with is one-man show, his documentary and his Hangover appearance. He seems to be living a good life as a happily married man and father, settled and no longer addicted to drugs, alcohol and sex.

I want Tyson to destroy this punk. That guy doesn’t deserve to carry Mike’s jock, much less be in the ring with him. Of course the age difference matters, but the gap between an all-time great heavyweight and a youtube hack is enormous.

Please destroy this punk, Mike.

My memories of Iron Mike will remain in the 80's.

I watched every fight I could as he climbed the ladder in my neck of the woods.

The shit show you mentioned will be a laughingstock and decidedly non-violent.

I'll pass.

I mean what is the point of evolution to this point if not to optimize the development of consciousness?

Do you watch MMA? People are nuts for it and hitting a guy when he is down is worse.

As my generation’s champ, I’m rooting for Mike, but 60 is 60.

As to the sport of boxing, this is an embarrassment.

I mean...60. Sure, watch him punch some focus mitts real hard on a guy that isn't moving or punching back. And we all have those old memories of him.

I encourage those people to watch his dreadful Roy Jones fight. And that was 4 years ago, the spinal mobility, joints,, and reflexes don't improve after 55.

boxing gloves on. I still cannot believe Ali was able to eek out of there with a "win".

This is a bit different, but it still reminded me that no one involved was happy that they did it afterwards.

As far as this “event”, I’m nervous for Tyson. While Jake Paul is going to cash in, he should be embarrassed as fuck if he loses or wins.

I still think it's an exhibition billed as a real fight. Also, Jake Paul can't stand Dana White

No worries, Iron Mike will knock him out if it is indeed a boxing match.
