Given the streaming problems, quality of “boxing” and late start, probably true

Too many folks got excited by edited footage of focus mitt work.

7-10 seconds of him bulling forward on his trainer and banging the mitts looks cool. It's the kind of muscle memory drill you can do forever. But it tells you nothing about defensive reaction or even moving around the ring in general.

Knee brace, the arthritis that inevitably builds up in our joints, the vertebrae that compress over the decades and pinch nerve roots and reduce mobility....these can't be trained over. And they in fact limit your ability to train with volume, which is why we saw footage of him on a stationary bike instead of running. There was never a realistic chance for him to win.

Tyson got a nice payday. Avoided serious damage.

A sad demise.

If that were me, I’d be in an ice bath for a month. Kudos for the payday.

kudos to Mike though for going 8 rounds albeit 2 minutes rounds

What did you expect, a 58 year old guy versus at best a crappy club fighter? Suckers.

tool in his arsenal. Every one knew he had great power but seldom was his economy of movement pointed out. There was none last night, only losing balance(whether it was due to his knee or not) and complete lack of aggression which was his most intimidating part of his game. Very sad.
