Not unlikely at all. Rand Paul has always been his own man, and a 100% libertarian.

I agree with Paul's comment regarding using the Army. Well, let me clarify: It should be illegal. But, all Trump has to do is say they are doing drug interdiction. It worked in Waco against US citizens for the Democrats, so it should work against non-US citizens for the GOP. But, it should have been illegal in both cases. Law enforcement should handle these situations. Having said that, the argument for using the Army is stronger against non-citizens who crossed the border illegally (which is what Trump wants to do) than it is for using it against citizens (which is what the Democrats did). See how these precedents by the Dems come back to haunt them? If the Army cannot be used to defend the border, then it has no purpose whatsoever.

Paul disagrees with Trump on tariffs as a policy matter, not a matter of legality. I think libertarians are a bit naive when it comes to free trade. Yes, it should be the ideal, just like widespread immigration should be the ideal. But, there are times, and manners, in which it is not appropriate.

I'm curious what "mass" deportations are? Obama did mass deportations but the libs didn't

describe as such back then.

Perhaps it is the 1.4 million illegal alien criminals who have been told to leave the country that have not as the Biden Adm looked the other way?

Typical Ned. I agree with him, but not really and the D’s have done so in worse situations so it’s

okay. And yeah I’m well aware that his tariffs position is one of policy, not legality. At least though he’s willing to call it what is, an indirect tax on the public. Listening to Orange try to respond to that during the campaign was hysterical.

You look down on independent thought? I must only take a position of Trump or you?

discussing...

...but for the moment, we have a very democratic solution to our border crisis already prepared...i.e. the bipartisan Senate Immigration Bill. The process of achieving that resolution is the same one used by the Reagan administration decades ago...and it certainly did not require our Military to be involved. With any luck, this Senate will remind Trump that there's no need for any "Mass Deportations" using any Police forces...all he has to do is get the House to join in and then sign the Bill.

a commentary as to why being a "100% Libertarian" is not something to be Honored...you just don't like having to own up to that assessment...or you would jump at the chance to defend your avowed philosophy.
