Remember Trump’s Greenland comments? Dividends already from mere words.

The Danish leader talked tough in public, but behind the scenes, she was already offering concessions.

Trump knows what he’s doing. He knows how to leverage the US’s influence for the benefit of the country (esp when the countries being leveraged are taking advantage of the US).

Expect Canada comments to yield similar results at no cost to the US and from Mexico as well. The tough public talk by these other leaders does not match the behind the scenes negotiations that they are frantically seeking.
Expect the same thing with tariff's. The only tarriffs imposed will be on the recalcitrant foreign leader’s, and it won’t take long for those to end when those leaders see Trump does not make idle threats.

The leadership vacuum of the past 4 years is just about over.

minerals, technology or manufacturing capacity that we don't possess and need desperately...or customers for our products...after all, there's no way they would even dream of retaliating later by finding new partners to deal with.

You can just see Vladimir smirking over this...watching the vaunted USA losing its well earned admiration among the world's democracies.

Keep checking your mail, Donald.

Well never mind, I think we already know the answer to that. They can’t accept facts that don’t fit with what they want to believe.

Arctic is considered strategic because of its shipping routes. Greenland is very important to its west route (Northwest Passage).
