We're gonna need Kamala back for this, Dems take the heat off themselves, sue the oil companies.

The powers that be hog tied the insurance industry such that many pulled out of the state just before the fires started and simultaneously have given Southern California and central valley farmers a big FU with regards to diverting nary a drop of water from a path to the Pacific Ocean. Ah yes, let the people sue the oil companies, they'll be tied up in a monster class-action litigation for years Meanwhile, fields lay fallow, lawns and yards remain dry, but the Delta Smelt swims unmolested and fires burn.

Somebody call me a cab, I need to get to the railroad station to catch that bullet train.

It seems wrong that the taxpayers bail them out and then they fleece a 3rd party for the same thing resulting in a double dip.

see themselves in the "Energy" Business and cooperate with Government to help in the shift to other forms of energy, they doubled down on their "Cash Cow" (Oil & Gas) to maintain profits...simple laziness and greed. Now their chickens are coming home to roost and they refuse to take any responsibility. EXXON, et al, should be required to do what they should have done earlier...help the nation, and CA in particular, deal with the ramifications of dangers they knew they'd be responsible for.

Ty ... no evidence masks work. Repeat...no evidence

The authors of this article in Scientific American take great pains to allege there is no evidence they don't work, but are also forced to admit there is no evidence they do. Not only that, we had 10 RCTs performed since WW II showing no evidence of working to contain flu spread - another fact you ignore.

Fact. Gen pop Mask Mandate was foolish. Their acceptance of homemade neckerchiefs was hilarious.

No masking works as a general population guideline 1) because the gen pop does not know nor is capable of adhering to sterile technique (how many times did these dooffuses reuse their N95? How many times did they touch their masks to adjust them?
Every one of them.

As long as people blended the knee. That is what they wanted.

doesn't do a thing to prepare the country for a possible pandemic (Hint: COVID-19 was a global pandemic), you have to make do what you've got...e.g. cloth masks...if you happen to feel the need to go to the grocery store, or perhaps a hospital....oh, and btw...at that time there was no vaccine available either.

I certainly hope Baron wore his N95/KN95 mask when seeing patients during COVID-19.

Virtually every hospital on earth during COVID required visitors and staff to wear masks...

where several counties around the Bay Area are currently requiring all employees, patients and visitors to wear masks in all healthcare facilities? Yet no one anywhere else is.

Also, you say you're big on what the science says. So why do you keep disputing overwhelming evidence that contradicts what you wish to be true (masks work, HCQ+ was ineffective and Covid originated naturally)?

facilities often require masking...based on local levels of such diseases...as in several Bay Area counties.

Wearing a mask in enclosed areas for a short while won't kill you...don't be a wuss.

in on Climate Change, saying it has nothing to do with the fires, when even Exxon Mobil's own scientists predicted the atmospheric and ocean warming we're seeing today which absolutely causes more severe weather disturbances (e.g. drought combined with hurricane force Santa Ana winds).
