Time to tariff the hell out of tropical fruits. Americans should only eat domestically grown fruits.

Hopefully we can harvest them mechanically.

You're looking at this all wrong.

Once the US finally rids itself of all these illegal immigrants taking good fruit-picking, hotel linen changing, grass-cutting jobs, unemployed Americans are going to be lining up for these choice careers.

Solve the illegal immigrant AND unemployment problems in one fell swoop. It's totally genius in its simplicity. And eggs will be cheaper.

That's who you think we're deporting?

And why shouldn't a fruit picker, linen changer or grass cutter be able to earn a "living wage"?

There's a threshold where unemployed Americans will do these jobs, and there's ample money to pay them.

What will we do without criminals, child, sex and drug traffickers is the real question. What will America look like when we don't have Tren De Aragua? (Shudder) If we don't have migrant children working in meat packing plants for pennies, who wants to live in that world?

I think it's easier to believe ICE is using an axe and not a scalpel in these early stages.

There was a report over the weekend that something close to 50% of the initial deportees had no criminal record. Could be wrong, could be right. I don't know who has accurate numbers. But even Tom Homan said there will be "collateral damage".

So yeah, it's more likely than not that fruit pickers are getting caught up in the deportations.

Even if it was 100:1 fruit pickers to child rapists, I'd be good with the ratio.

What say you?

Thread Level: 6

Well if 101 of them are here illegally then they all can be deported.

But you'd like to think it could be more surgical than that.

I agree that in an ideal world it was more "surgical".

But we didn't import a Venezuelan prison gang surgically, now, did we?

I suspect there will be far less collateral damage in solving the problem then there was in creating it (trafficking) so it seems like a good reset to me.

Leave it to our Canuckian migrant to Florida to point out the obvious. What could go wrong with this
