Well, for starters, I don't think she would have been able to place Christian Ziegler's name either
(see link) even though both of them had somewhat unusual sex interests that ended up on the evening news.
In the case of Sam Brinton, 'They' was hired by the DOE for Nuclear Waste Studies because of 'Their' Masters Degree in Nuclear Engineering from MIT...btw, that job had nothing to do with the Trump/Musk DOGE Clown Car firings of personnel overseeing our Nuclear Weapons Stockpile...Rep. Burchett should have "Looked that up" prior to spouting off. Note that Sam had no criminal record when hired...just as Mr. Ziegler had no record for Rape in Florida before becoming a GOP leader there...but things happen, and Sam messed up, resulting in 'They' being let go.
Stuff happens with both Straight and Gender Fluid people...fortunately, these are isolated cases...so let's try not to be so easily 'Titillated' and focus on getting and supporting qualified people into all sorts of jobs looking for such abilities. This holds true for millions of others in this country who happen to have "Special Needs", or other differences from those who are White, Straight or Christian.
