I didn't say politicians aren't making a big display of enforcement (whatever that means) in the
subway system but the bitter truth is, crime in nyc subways has gone down over the years and it hasn't been
because of the National Guard presence.
Yes, it's true there is subway crime but it's not marauding gangs killing, raping and robbing people. Mostly
interaction with homeless people. Petty stuff like smoking, urinating. But Hochul is a bit overboard
with the national guard. More like babysitting. I've never seen them, but I assume they are there somewhere.

I was looking at the stats that Tyrone was nice enough to link to, and it looks like crime overall trended down and was at it's lowest rates in the records at the end of Bloomberg being mayor. Generally speaking, is there much of a difference between his crime policies vs what happened post 2020 when the stats seem to have skyrocketed?
