I tell ya, I just didn’t see that coming from peace-loving Vlad.

The invading continues.

EU news says he is in favor of it. Has something else been announced this morning?

Sure, Putin can change his mind. Hopefully he will.

Hardly a rejection. Pre-negotiation posturing is normal. Let's wait and see.

Looks like Putin himself says no, trying to get some land gains. Again, we'll see.

He has turned Russia into a modern day Sparta. The ONLY thing his society is good at is war... and they are terrible at that.

Plus... his state controlled media has whipped up hyper-nationalism to a 1930's Germany extreme.

Anything less that complete evisceration of Ukraine and its culture would be a Putin FAILURE.

The one in the tough spot is Trump... whose choice is between capitulation to a genocidal dictator or rankling his MAGA base, which sees Zelensky as the villain.

Russia using nukes would be a horrible gamble... because there is serious doubt they will work...

while there is zero doubt that our retaliation would obliterate Russia.

We spend more on maintaining our hukes that Russia does on their entire Potemkin military.

He will not use nukes. The cost would far outweigh the benefit.
