dude of humor and wit. Not a bad guy while recognizing they don’t agree on many issues but they do agree on more than a few. Mahr passes along these gems to an applauding audience.
Maher brings Steve Bannon on as the opening guest trying to give MAGAmayhem leader a normal face and voice giving him many opportunities to soften his views on moving democracy to tyranny to that same over zealous applauding audience.
This is not good news for American democracy. Maher whose reach is far in the US calls himself a leading centrist makes a huge mistake last night trying to normalize the criminality of trump, Bannon and all the MAGAcronies working toward breaking the backbone of America’s belief in the rule of law and order and democracy for all.

His views hold weight in politics and he sometimes has astute observations. I have a favorable opinion of him but not as a lantern.
We / I have questioned many of his comments/opinions on issues - C19 - Kamala Harris - and agreed with him on guns - Climate issues.
He’s not stupid he just made an extremely poor choice giving trump explicit and allusions of normalcy - one by the visit alone and two by giving a review on his show - Similar to the mistake made by Mika Brzezinski & Joe Scarborough. In fact, much like the kowtowing by corporation heads and world leaders. All thinking they’re above the fray - spoiler alert, they are not.
And not only that, by being on his show he gave Steve Bannon (another insane jackass criminal) celebrity - a voice and a platform.
