For whatever reason, the MAGA posters can’t get past the issue of immigration, seemingly stuck on the notion that an unlawful immigrant is undeserving of compassion, humane treatment, and access to faith.
The main issue is the lack of honesty on your part and those in your camp.
I actually don't agree with the alligator alley encampment, but here's the thing: this administration could put them up in Hiltons with room service and you would still object, because you and most on your side believe that everyone short of serial killers who wants to come to the United States should be allowed in. The archbishop is clearly in this camp. He thinks anyone who wants to come here is entitled to come and then be offered many things once they arrive. It would be much more honest if you and he just argued that these people shouldn't be detained in the first place because they're entitled to stay here and move about freely, without government interference. That's your real objection, not alligator alley.
When does he go to the native countries of the migrants and pray and demand change so that they
don't have to flee their homes? How is the United States and Trump the villain in this? What other countries are demonized for expelling those who enter illegally? Name some.
