This is just a travesty. I have seen with my own 2 eyes some areas where they have

Poured some caissons out in the valley. They have been sitting there for ever, fenced off, safe off, equipment sitting around. Who knows how much this "project" has lost in GC's alone. I bet enough to build a small community for the homeless Cal Vets.

The concept for CA High Speed Rail began with Gov. Jerry Brown and got support from Arnold

Schwarzenegger...it's the right thing to do (see Japan's and Europe's High Speed Rail Systems), but a lot of Oxen will be gored (i.e. Special Interests), so sadly this mess is the result.

If you have experienced the daily commute into and out of Silicon Valley from the Central Valley (where the only affordable housing exists) then you'd understand why voters keep supporting the project. The fact that the GOP is the legal arm of Corporate Special Interests, there will always be well-funded opposition to any projects that focus on the needs of the lower classes.

Always fostered forward and positive thinkers. The HS Rail system makes perfect sense…while it wasn’t HS I still recall all the commuters heading into the Big Apple from Westchester and Fairfield counties. CA can and should pursue it.

btw, I’ll mention him again…Sam Liccardo is an open minded moderate Democrat who did an excellent job of managing San Jose with its ~1M population by cutting red tape…encouraging private investment and using creative ideas to improve housing affordability. decrease homelessness, improve safety/law enforcement, etc…just Google his name and you can read all about what he’s actually DONE …as opposed to those who only carp about problems they have no idea how to solve….sound familiar?

CA was lucky with its size, location and climate… and now they are throwing it all away.

Central Valley to Silicon Valley as justification for HS Rail instead of sitting in Stop-and-Go traffic on 580 and 680, or 101 to the South. That is what's called "Your Own Thoughts"...the Wiki page is what's called "Substantive References" for support of my own thought on the matter.

Start using glasses or simply learn to read people's posts and you won't keep coming out on the short end...

Talking about substance...what are YOUR thoughts on solutions for the very real problem of people wanting to work in SV but can't afford to live anywhere close?..
