I saw that the anorexic "star" for the Thunder was unusually awful in the playoffs. He's a perfect

example of a current "star" who would hardly get off the bench 25/30/40 years ago in the NBA. Simply put, he would've been pulverized. Now, in the three-ball-skip step professional game, a walking toothpick gets placed on the All- Star team and make third team All-NBA for posting a whopping 17 ppg. Unreal.

I don't care how repetitive I am: You absolutely cannot like the game of basketball and watch this shit.

What a weird post. The Thunder won it all last year.

college coaches who made them play the right way. They didn't let them take plays off. They didn't let them give garbage effort on defense. They didn't let them throw up repeated crap shots. They didn't let them travel, egregiously, over and over. There are people who haven't watched the NBA in 30/40 years. I can't emphasize enough to those people how awful it is. If your reference is Celtics-Lakers/Sixers in the 80s or the Bulls-Blazers/Jazz in the 90s,you'll likely become angry if commit to more than a quarter of current NBA game. I used to love the NBA playoffs even more than the NCAA Tournament, which says a lot.

After Duncan retired, I stopped watching the NBA. This Spurs team is incredible and all of the old NBA fans that "don't like what the NBA has become" need to watch this team. It's a blast from the past and it's way to early, but Wembanyama has an opportunity to settle the Jordan/Lebron debate. He's that good at 22.

Thread Level: 6

I remember when Ralph Sampson was supposed to become what Wembanyama seems to be becoming.

Be a bit careful with the chicken counting when you are talking about career achievements. There are so many factors both inside and outside of sports that go into those things.

Also remember when it seemed certain Tiger was going to transcend Jack….

…but I was young, might be wrong.

But Wemby is dominating already in ways that Sampson never did.

…or even allowed them to do.

The game was not three-point focused either.

Ewing could shoot from outside. Did it too much for my liking for the game at that time.

Rarely 3s, though. Ewing shot many more 12-footers.
