"Iran agrees to allow IAEA inspectors into the country"...sounds familiar...didn't this happen back

in 2015?...along with the 'un-freezing' of billions in Iranian assets?

Let this settle in for just a moment...then look at all the recent death, destruction, and chaos...including U.S. lives and resources...

"IAEA inspectors" is oxymoronic. They have always been Iran's useful idiots.

The US needs to be able to go anywhere it wants in Iran at any time to verify that the Mullahs have not restarted their nuke program... which they NEVER abandoned.

  • Level 1

No. Actually it never happened before. Did US allow neutral party to inspect its 15 military bases

damaged by Iran’s attack? Did Ukraine or Russia allow a neutral party to inspect their military bases or facilities damaged during the war? If Iran allows IAEA inspectors to access nuclear sites struck by the U.S., that would be a very rare exception if not unprecedented.

I know your superficial understanding is from partisan propaganda which targets people without critical thinking.

I am just talking about the face value of this news as you do. I don’t really know if it is true that Iran allows IEAEA to come in. As far as I know Iranian hardliners strongly against any deal. So the current peace is pretty fragile.

    • Level 2

Chris is correct...you can also read to your heart's content all the IAEA reports on Iran's nuclear

      program in the linked document.

As for my understanding, I'm not a nuclear physicist, but I have an Engineering Masters Degree with a focus on Energy technologies, especially Nuclear...plus 10 years of work experience in the Nuclear Power field as both an engineer and Program Manager for Fast and Thermal Reactors...i.e. I understand more than most people do about this subject.

    • Level 2

      Of course it happened before

The JCPOA tripled the number of IAEA inspectors in Iran. They had full access to any site.

The Iranians could delay the inspections, but HEU is detectable in the environment for a year, so that made no difference.

      You’re wrong here.

      • Level 3

The nature of Iran nuclear program has been changed after they enriched uranium to 60%.

It was Safeguards Inspection during JCPOA era - verifying Iran was not building weapons and its nuclear facilities were used for peaceful purpose.

Now Safeguards Inspection becomes pointless since Iran already openly told the whole world they reached 60% at the Natanz Pilot Plant on April 16, 2021, 5 years ago. After threshold of uranium enrichment was broken, the nature of Iran nuclear plants have become nuclear weapon facilities and military targets during the war.

Comparing today’s IAEA inspection on Iran’s military nuclear facilities to IAEA’s Safeguards Inspection on Iran’s nuclear program for peaceful purpose (they claimed) during JCPOA is misleading. I can’t believe you hold the same superficial understanding about this issue as Ty did.

I reiterate my point. Iran nuclear facilities are military facilities now, similar to U.S. military base. If IAEA is allowed to come to Iran to inspect its nuclear facilities, it is inspection on military nuclear facilities. It never happened before to any war parties during the war. The nature of this inspection is not safeguards inspection.

Note, Safeguards Inspection is not Nuclear Safety inspection which is to prevent nuclear accidents.

        • Level 4

Under the JCPOA, the IAEA had access to ALL Iranian facilities, military and civlian

But I enjoy it when you tell me I have a “superficial” understanding of all this, unlike you. Yet you get basic stuff wrong all the time. Odd!

I know, I know. You’re just still bummed about how terrible Putin’s unnecessary war is going. We should be more sympathetic.

          • Level 5

Ok, I’m wrong. You’re not superficial. You’re just TDS manipulating every bit of news, in this case,

Confusing, on purpose, a wartime IAEA inspection with a peacetime IAEA inspection that made sure Iran did not violate the JCPOA agreement.

Don’t provoke me to talk about the Ukraine-Russia war. You have no idea what is happening on the battlefield now and how dangerous of a bigger devastating war it may come.

            • Level 6

“Enlighten” us with your knowledge of what’s happening on the battlefield…

              In the Ukraine/Russia war.

I recall you and Cole touting that the war would be over in a couple of weeks when it started. You claimed that it was a “special military operation” and that Russia attacked because of the “evil” Ukrainian nazis.

Sorry, your perceived knowledge of what’s happening is hardly credible. You’ve been wrong on almost every count when it comes to the war.

              We're all born bald baby!
              • Level 7

You need to read old posts of the past.

                1. I never said the war would be over in a couple of weeks when it started. Yes Russia will win , but not in a few weeks. In early days I always warned a nuclear war could start due to Ukraine/West keeping escalating. Today I’m still saying this: A nuclear war is highly possible. It is you warmongers in early days who thought Ukraine would win the war. I didn’t think so then. I don’t think so now. My earliest stand actually is negotiation. See the famous uhnd peace treaty which, from today’s view, gave much more favors to Ukraine. Ukraine will never get what uhnd peace treaty offered. But it could’ve got it in first month of the war ( Istanbul deal is similar to uhnd deal. Ukraine considered signing it then). War has a consequence.

                2. Yes, I said it is a special military operation. It is still SMO today. Russia hasn’t had national mobilization since 2022 and no wartime martial law invoked. All former USSR countries’ citizens, including Ukrainians, are still visa-free to enter Russia. Ukraine is opposite. How many rounds of national mobilization have been done? I lost the count. But at least 15 times.

                3. My view on Russia-Ukraine war is firm, but we don’t need to argue about it again m again and again: Russia’s action of war is reaction to west/neocon’s aggressive action - eastward expansion to Russia border. Ukraine is just proxy. This war is provoked by the West/neocon.

                • Level 8

Same old song and dance. “The west provoked the war…”…

What a shit excuse for your warmonger hero. “Special military operation?” You misspelled “an unprovoked attack on a weaker neighbor who’s holding their own.”

So, how’s it going on the battlefield? Have you been there to witness? I doubt you have the balls.

FYI, a guy who I served with has a son who’s in the Ukraine as part of the Azov International Legion. He said they’re making daily progress and they’re killing a lot of Russian savages. Oh, how about the drone attacks on Moscow and other interior Russian cities? Good shit, huh?

                  We're all born bald baby!
        • Level 4

And where is it that you get your first hand information?

Unlike you who cannot criticize Democrats because you think they're perfect people,

I am intellectually honest enough to be able to call balls and strikes as they are. This war was a disaster and tearing up the previous agreement was a disaster.

You might want to take a page from Chris. He's intellectually honest enough to call balls and strikes, too.

    • Level 2

Well, the war did destroy a lot of nuclear capability, which JCPOA did not.

Iran is not trustworthy, so that is a great benefit.

Also, I was under the impression that future inspections will be at choice of US/IAEA, not at choice of Iran.

Also, no sunset provision like in JCPOA, which would have expired by now.

But, it really is too early to tell what the final deal will be, so Tyrone needs to get his criticisms in now when he can criticize a non-agreement (like they were doing weeks ago). Regardless, if the new deal gives Iran a path to nuclear weapons like the JCPOA, I also will criticize it.

Not true, as evidenced by my prior posts criticizing Dem Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Dem. Sen. Menendez

for their Criminal acts...along with posts that strongly oppose far-left advocates of 'Renewable' energy sources only for our nation's future energy strategy (see attached link of one such post)

Not sure why you persist in your easily debunked home-grown trope...and I'm still waiting for your apology regarding your repeated false challenge to the veracity of the NEJM's detailed study of Masking Effectiveness in Boston Area Schools...i.e. 2 Districts out of 72...how about demonstrating that "Intellectual Honesty" you claim to have.

      • Level 3

Criticizing these two for being criminals isn't what I'm talking about and you know it

        That's a ridiculous defense.

Not once, not ever, have you criticized any Democrat anywhere for any policy-related position or their belief system, or any action that they took that might have failed or not been the best course of action.

I believe I asked you before if you could at least bring yourself to give Trump credit for one thing, one thing that you surely would agree with: The commuting of the life sentence handed out to Alice Marie Johnson. No, you couldn't bring yourself to even do that, because to do so would violate your weird code you and too many strong partisans adhere to.

I don't understand that weird code, but unfortunately too many from all sides of the aisle adhere to it. By doing so, you and everyone adhering to this code are by definition unable to engage with any sort of intellectual honesty at all.

        • Level 4

No, let’s call out the truth on posts - MAGAnuts of which you are one support a criminal and not one

who is a maybe is or maybe not criminal - he is a convicted criminal - he has been convicted in a civil trial for sexual abuse - larceny, theft from students in a fraudulent university, theft from charities he founded, lies as he breathes, fomented an insurrection - a constant betrayal of his vows as a husband (for all you overly moral Christian’s out there). And this POTUS is not the only easy to criticize poll out there who claim to be a republican. And the big fat zero from you nut jobs. You put up and endorse people like Hershel Walker who though was a standout athlete is as dumb as a rock pile but because Dr orange Jesus endorsed him, as a great candidate. Almost unanimous you all back someone like MTG, you support another dumbass know-nothing in Tubberville and many number of candidates whose false valor resumes are pointed out - Tina Peters is another of your supported criminals.

The point is, when D’s are liars and criminals, we say so. By you saying we don’t or don’t do it loud enough - the proof is, they don’t stay in office or are candidates for office very long even though you nut jobs continue to lie about it.

It’s you MAGANUTS who support, promote, and defend the truly corrupt in office shouting it’s the D’s not the other way around.

You failed to read my post regarding "Far Left Democrats" holding the belief that our Energy Policy

should include Only Renewable Sources, like Wind, Solar, Hydro...which I oppose (read the archived UHND post)...you lose...now apologize...and while you're at it, I'm still waiting for your apology on the false statement you made about the NEJM study on Masking Effectiveness in the Boston School Area...again you fail to uphold your claim of Intellectual Honesty...do it now and the slate will be clean.

Btw, you're now changing the Goal Posts with the reference to DJT pardoning a Felon...not going down that Rabbit Hole...Just apologize and we can get on with discussions of other matters.

These guys here continue to invent false narratives they can handle. Nothing from them

is steeped in fact. It’s what ever they imagine to be true.
