Congrats Argentina. The better team won.
Well played.

Does FIFA know that no one cares about the consolation game, including the players?

Old enough to remember when NCAA and NIT had third place games. Once upon a time people used to…

Expect the same thing will happen with WC eventually. Possibly not. Rest of world sometimes prioritizes differently on certain things...

Poorer coaching cost the game. ENG didn’t learn lessons from Egypt, SUI. Parking bus too early.

Correct. After Argentina hit two posts you'd think Tuchel would change tactics.
But no. That was just awful to watch. I mean, that was painful and totally expected. Look at England's record in recent tournaments.
86th minute goal conceded against Spain to lose Euro 2024 final.
Knocked out by France in WC 2022 by a goal in the 78th minute.
Blew 1-0 lead against Italy in the Euro 2020 final and lost on penalties.
Blew a 1-0 lead against Croatia on goals in the 68th and 109th minutes to get knocked out of the WC 2018 semi-finals.Imagine looking at that history and thinking, "Let's park the bus again." Idiots.

Parking the bus allowed Messi to excel. Look at his crossing, each like Drew Brees’ pass. Amazing!
Argentina could score 3 goals from Messi’s crossing. England got scared. When they put more efforts and focus on Messi’s crossing, they left top of box wide open.

The Brits stopped playing after they scored.
Luckily their grandparents didn't do the same during the blitz.
Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
