I am highlighting DSA’s goal:
“Capitalism is a system designed by the owning class to exploit the rest of us for their own profit. We must replace it with democratic socialism, a system where ordinary people have a real voice in our workplaces, neighborhoods, and society”.
When you’re impressed by DSA folks’ talks, plans and what they have done, don’t forget their goal is set to replace our 250 years’ system, not to fix it as mainstream Americans including both R and D want, with a new system called socialism.

Mayor Mamdani has labeled himself as a member of the Democratic Party...and referenced his
admiration for FDR's policies that we all live with today...and with not a hint of Communism. Let's judge him on his results.
What I can definitely not support is a feckless administration such as we have now that could care less for the common men and women of America...only its Billionaires and Trillionaire. You can readily see for yourself how inept and destructive it is...Nothing to be proud of...at all...and hopefully will be reversed starting this Fall.

You're wrong...both Mayor Mamdani and Police Commissioner Tisch...agree that the beginning of this
administration, crime is markedly down in NYC. In addition, Mamdani inherited a $12B deficit that cannot support 5,000 new NYPD officers over the next two years, so that plan was cut. What the Mayor has done to enhance the Police Department's effectiveness is to create a division...much like elsewhere in the country...that responds to mental health type calls, thus freeing up the majority of officers who are trained in handling violent crimes. Btw, I've posted before that even the Charles Koch Family Foundation supports such changes, rather than funding more SWAT teams.
As for seizing the means of production...that's not true either...e.g. GA, FLA, WI have city owned grocery stores, as well as electric utilities...
Deal with it...Mayor Mamdani isn't a Communist...he's emulating FDR's "Socialist" concern for ALL Americans.
Worry more about the guy who has numerous 90 min. totally private calls with that former KGB Colonel who has never rejected his Communist upbringing.
