I have questions for MarkHarman (resident PGA expert) re players' eligibility for 2027.

With only two weeks left in the regular season, there is talk about players jockeying to keep their cards, and/or reach top 70 for the FedEx playoffs.

My research last night did not deliver a clear answer.

If a player finishes regular season in top 70 in FedEx points, they make the playoffs. Do they also automatically qualify for 2027 Signature events, or is that only for Top 50 after playoffs completed????

Re keeping one's card, I thought top 100 keep card, and 101 -125 get a conditional/limited card????? is that correct?? And what is significance of the Fall Season re eligibility???? Does the player who finishes 99th after regular season then have to defend his ground throughout the Fall???

It's still top 50 plus some others for 2027 Signature events

Top 100 fully exempt otherwise, and yes, a player 99th after the FedEx Cup is not automatically in the top 100 until after the fall season. They did this because players 71-100 are no longer in the playoffs and therefore they really haven't earned their spot for next season, so this is the way they reasoned this out.

Thanks Mark. What happens to players 51-70? Are they in better standing than 71-100?

Some of them are because they have a better chance of getting into Signature events

long term? I'm very impressed with his results and repeatability, but it appears to have an awful lot of violent 'side bend' through impact...maybe it's just me yearning for my 20's. ;-).
