He wrote in his diary : "BIG DAY" as he outlined proudly how he had convinced both DeBlasio in NYC and Newsome in CA to close schools.
Fauci later claimed that he never personally recommended any lock downs.

On Jan 2,2024, Fauci testified to the House Oversight Committee:
"I did not close the schools," he said, according to the hearing transcript. And it became the widespread situation where I became a political target."
He also records in his diary multiple other efforts to lock down the country in general - not just schools.
