What is the penalty for knowingly retaining and disclosing classified information?

recollections of the past had by then reached the point where all those lies he had told for many years had become fact in his declining brain. I really believe that when he stated on tape that he just found classified files "downstairs," he had no memory of putting them there. What are going to do? Subpeona him and put him before Congress? He won't know where he is or who anybody is. All the people who perpetrated the fraud that he was the president for four years are gone. He travels with a single assistant. No one gives money for his presidential library. The real scandal was the implicit agreement between the puppetmasters in that administration and the media to conceal his utter senility for years and maintain the canard that he was in charge. It's a testament to how morally bankrupt journalism is that we have had so few investigative reports even beginning to try to get to the bottom of it.

Yes, another depressing trip down memory lane.

I was listening to someone awhile back, I think it may have been Yuval Noah Harari (author of Sapiens) and I don't remember exactly how it was put but it was something like:

"Humans process the world through stories rather than pure facts, prioritizing coherence over accuracy, social bonding over raw data, and meaning over objectivity. This tendency shapes how people cooperate, remember the past, and make decisions." (AI assisted recall)

Now this doesn't make the fact that fellow humans will deny objective facts any less frustrating, but it does explain why it happens. Obviously confirmation bias is heavy at play.

Yes.It's also a referendum on the lemmings who refused to acknowledge the obvious-even to themselves

That would be the liberal drones (such as those we saw here), in addition to the MSM that you point out.

All that’s posted is just retread from years ago. It looks as though Weiss is working well with the trump administration to remind everyone that Biden is responsible for all of trump’s failings since he’s been in office for these last 20 months and that trump would be more successful if Biden hadn’t started a war with Iran and helped Ukraine fend off Putin and if Biden knew about the word, grocery.

Maybe some day you’ll actually discover the definition of the term strawman. I have my doubts.

R's were furious that he wasn't charged.
Dems were furious that Hur let the cat out of the bag and told everyone that Biden was not mentally competent to stand trial - it was a political poison pill for the Dem Party plans to run him again.

It was all over the news and on this board as well at the time.

Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded that Joe Biden mishandled classified documents but declined to press charges. Hur controversially described Biden as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory", noting that he struggled to recall key dates, including the exact year his son Beau passed away.

And Hur was vilified for it, not from the right, but the left. Remember Joe's "how dare he" speech?

The report outlined the guilt and the reason (dementia) for not pursuing prosecution. At the same time the cult was claiming that Joe was sharp as a tack, running circles around the staff. At the same time the cult was supporting Joe's run for reelection.

But what I find most ironic is that Joe is THE reason that Trump was reelected, yet people like you blame everyone but Joe.
