Baron -- what is your prediction on Skubal?
I think the Tigers have to trade him. Even if Tigers have a late run like 2024, the are not a World Series contender. On a three game losing streak.
The smart business play is to enter a lucrative trade.
It would not surprise me if Skubal does not pitch tomorrow night as planned. Had 12 Ks in last outing. Form is back. Timing is ripe to close the deal.

I agree, they will likely trade him. But the Illitch Family showed their hand w recent firing of
Stevie Y from the Red Wings (whom they have owned since long before they acquired the Tigers).
Yzerman was getting no where though he is beloved locally. They mad e a hard call for success.
I think the hard call for success here is to trade him and build for the future. He is being wasted on this year's team, he would be gone by the time that his skills could make a difference for him, but his value from a trade could carry through to that time.
