My states is 32nd - rather tepid overall, but much better when you consider that we carry the anchor of Detroit around our neck.

With its embarrassment of resources, wealth & natural beauty...becoming less and less of a "donor"

CA received 13.4B more from fed govt than they paid in taxes - less of a donor than a sucker - with
every natural resourc advantage, and massive state size, and oceanfront, and population. That’s just pathetic.

Donor state 6 of the last 9 years…
And 21,22, and 23 had extenuating circumstances…Pandemic costs. My great (greatest) state rebounded nicely in 24 and 25.
Bottom line…net positive donor state and the biggest federal revenue generating state by far. Concern? Nah.
