Gender dysphoria is a manifestation of deep-seated psychological/developmental conflicts and
anxieties which are unrelated to any religion.
And there can be no "conversion" from this malady (or for any of the myriad forms of human psychosexual dysfunction) without accessing and resolving the underlying, deeply repressed "issues."
This process is extremely "challenging" and the rarest of human experiences.
Society needs to tolerate this relatively innocuous form of mental arrest... but by no means celebrate it any more than we do schizophrenia.

It’s worth noting that Schizophrenia is most often treated with medications…as is GD…
...when counseling is insufficient.
Define "treated." In both cases you're referring to the symptoms... not the underlying causes.
But at least you are conceding that not merely personal choices.
I love the contradiction: "Gender-affirming care is between patients, parents, and doctors."
But essentially Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy when it comes to sexuality IS NOT left up to patients, parents, and doctors, or even adult patients and their doctors. Good stuff. Guess what the response has been when I've pointed this out? It's on your list.
As you know, they don’t care about principals except when useful to their goal. But this one
messes with their rookery, so they are willing to expose their hypocrisy - to the point of contradicting themselves openly simultaneously.
As posted here many times...All GD patients start and continue with counseling...even through drug
and if chosen, surgical therapy.
Since the Regret Rate for GD patients opting for GAS is on the order of 1%,,,and Catholic Counselors
will not discuss drug of gender surgery options, this ruling will not serve GD patients well in MI, or anywhere else in the USA.
Always cheering on the mutilation of confused kids.

Only adults get to have gender surgery...and the 'Regret Rate' is exceedingly low...which
dramatically reduces the very real volume of suicides for this group of patients.
I've posted documentation on this several times from noted hospitals like the Mayo Clinic, UCLA and Boston Children's Hospital...

As opposed to your totally uninformed, emotional gut feelings…
