Military leaders knew that they would try. But several factors
1) The people were too cowed to rise up even when all of their significant leaders were removed.
2) Iranians were more successful with mines than initially expected.
3) and this is the biggie…….Out Allies feared Muslim retribution from their waves of Islamic immigrants who were taken without vetting, and who contain violent jihadists in their midst. Total cowards. They privately cheered our efforts, but publicly refused to help because their own f’d up policies have put them behind the eight ball.
Thus, we received almost none of the help that we had anticipated.
The Left and MSM would like people to think that it is because of Trump that we got no help, but it is because of ally fear that we got no help.
