If Trump hadn't killed the 2024 bipartisan Senate Border Security and Immigration Bill in
order to keep folks like yourself riled up and voting for him that year...we wouldn't be having this conversation.
For some unknown reason, you and the rest of the MAGA cult are oblivious to the fact that Employers (including Trump) have been aiding and abetting undocumented immigrants for decades to do the menial work that native born Americans won't in Industries like Agriculture, Construction, Hospitality (see 'Trump') and others.
We absolutely NEED these workers...desperately...but in an orderly and just way...which brings us back to the need for Bipartisan CONGRESSIONAL Action. Note that DJT has done NOTHING to achieve this objective...and you can't even see it, much less call him out on it. You CAN do better...start NOW.

Stop ignoring basic economic reality and I won't have to keep reminding you, and others, of why DJT
is undermining America's future growth. Open the attached link and note the downward trend in "Labor Force Participation Rate" under Trump. Our GDP growth is Heavily dependent on an Increasing rate, which, with the large Boomer population retiring, iis not happening, ergo the NEED for Immigrant Labor...at all skill levels.
Trump's actions only CUT our labor force...it doesn't do a thing to increase it...and that's a recipe for failure as we click off each year. On the other hand, the Bipartisan Border Security Bill addressed not only Border Security, but our Dependence on Immigrant Workers for our Economic Growth.
This isn't Rocket Science...take off your polarizing lenses and you'll see for yourself how destructive Trump is and has been for America.

fear that a real solution to our Border and Immigration problems would kill his chance for re-election.

keyword "Lankford"...specifically his address to the Senate where he highlights the threats he received for trying to advance any Border Security and Immigration Policy Bill...during the 2024 election year.

Trump didn't want it, so the GOP House Speaker announced it was DOA if the Senate passed the Bill..
thus making it a "No Win" deal for Senate Republicans to back it...even Sen. Lankford voted "No" in May...even though he stated it deserved to be passed. Some Democrats also voted "No" realizing the futility and thus spoke to constituents who were not happy about some provisions, to show their support.
You're still a willfully ignorant MAGA who supports a Felon, Rapist, and Insurrectionist with a severe case of Malignant Narcissism...while imagining you hold Moral High Ground...not sure how you square that circle in your mind.

speculation not production. Wages will increase only if production increases, which is not the case of our current economy.

Yes and no: Cortporate profits are not speculation and they are way up... but average wages lag.
But let's imagine how worse things would be for wage earners if we were still being flooded with cheaper foreign labor.
