The pure glee on these women’s faces over the prospect of aborting on the precipice of birth seems sadistic.
What’s next, adult children ecstatic to be able to end the burdens associated with caring about aged parents?

There is a Right Way and a Wrong Way to reduce the number of abortions...without involving government coercion against women...a) make contraception widely and easily available...b) fund sex/sexuality education for all ages...c) fund programs that make it palpable for women to carry unwanted pregnancies to term...but make abortion legal for the ~6 million U.S. women, who at any point in their reproductive lives have experienced a forced or coerced pregnancy that they never wanted...or a medical emergency during pregnancy, like the Dentist in Ireland faced.
It bares repeating...prior to Roe v Wade, hundreds of thousands of Back-Alley, or Self-Induced abortions took place in the U.S., causing great harm...and far too many maternal deaths...especially to low income women who couldn't afford to travel. So, it's clear that making abortion illegal is Unenforceable and Unfair...and, never gets to dealing with the Root Cause...i.e. Unwanted Pregnancies.
This is what the women are cheering about...lifting the burden that the Dobbs decision placed on them.

This is about women being resentful of the responsibilities of motherhood.
