Watch the liberals reflexively stand up for the story. The want it to be true.
Iran (like Chine) knows that the Left is the greatest weapon to use against the US.

...it is even more evident in the 326 day deployment of the Gerald R. Ford carrier, as described in the linked article. Couple these experiences with the illegal and unnecessary War on Iran and it is one more example of how Trump is tearing apart every facet of America's greatness...which begs the question...is this all by accident?
Btw, my nephew was on the Ford during its deployment...and we care very much for his safety and well-being. Such extended deployments...without Just Cause...is detrimental to not only the active duty personnel on board, but also their immediate families. It's also not good for future recruitment, or re-enlistments...thus making American less strong.
And being confined to a ship for a long period of time. In this case, I will wait to hear from some people that I know who are on the Lincoln.
My theory is that morale is low, but that can be attributed to an overextended deployment. Supply shortages, food, plumbing issues and such is troubling if true.
Calling the claims “lies” is premature at this point.
.......they went through a much longer ordeal, yet interestingly, the MSM and Left said nothing then.
Every long deployment is bound to be tough - they signed up to do a job. It's why they get the respect that they do.
The motive behind this story was purely political.
The claims were lies - CENTCOM has refuted them.
Here is a fact…there was a deployment meeting with over 200 family members of sailors on the Lincoln. The meeting was taken to address concerns. It appears quite a few sailors who were fortunate enough to make contact with their families expressed frustration over food shortages, plumbing issues, contaminated water, et al.
I have some colleagues whose spouses serve on the Lincoln. I’ll let you know what they say upon their return.
Actually Hegseth didn't say that (he said it was "misrepresented" and presented no further details, as usual), but whatever. MAGA!!
You want to believe everything they say is a lie. You must, on some level, realize that these events occur without the involvement of Donald Trump nor Pete Hegseth.
This is a typical left wing story plant to carry the negative narrative for another day.
CENTCOM cannot make these statements if there are 7 dead crewmen from a brawl left unaccounted .
Please take a step back from all of this insanity and hatred.
TDS is a real disease. You have it. Please seek help for yourself. It will not be fixed with any election result as you might wrongly think.
Those in CENTCOM are speaking independently? If so, I’d be happy to give you a block of instruction on how the military works.
The father argued that the Navy needed to change its deployment policies to accommodate the delicate natures of these "children."
If that were my father, I wouldn't be able to get on the phone fast enough to tell him to shut the hell up.
Baron indicated that there was no reporting during covid (because why would the media report that, given that it might undermine the covid shutdown effort), but now there is reporting under Trump during Iran conflict (because the media opposes the Iran conflict and wants Trump to give up).
I can't speak to the conditions aboard ship now, but suspect that those conditions, both during covid and now, are far better than the conditions on the carriers during their very extended deployments during WWII...probably like living in a resort compared to that.
Big difference and I’m not claiming there were issues. I’m just stating a fact that there was a meeting with over 209 family members of those who are deployed. The truth will come out and it may not be pretty.
I don't think any of this should be part of any political or strategy discussion. Navy sailors go to sea for extended periods of time. I assume they knew this before volunteering.
And if there was/is a problem, sailors deserve clean water, food, and no plumbing problems.
more than the time Trump came into office and Hegseth was appointed.
It's a political propaganda attack to take an issue like this, embellish it with lies, and throw it out to help Iran and the Left.
There are many, many legitimate issues that also could have been dragged out against other admins in other wars. This one has proved to be illegitimate - at least in its' most bombastic claims.
We were headed home with stops in Thailand, PI and Hawaii. Uss Ranger caught on fire so we turned around and relieved them for another 65 days in GONZO again for over 65 days then hit PI and Hawaii on the way home. I survived
Second cruise was over 9 months because of 2 line periods on GONZO of over 65 days a pop. Then again on way home Kitty Hawk lost steering, major hydraulic issues so again… turned around and relieved them for quite a while before returning home to YOKOSUKA, again I survived.
I am still friends with about 10 fellow ship mates and we all say… what a great experience to overcome and adapt.
Great life lesson for in between the ears.
Look at what it has done to Europe and Canada.
And then we have college kids and the DSA that wish to "Globalize the Intifada", 9/11 was our fault, 10/7 was Israel's fault, etc.
