...very similar comments to those of Olympic Swimmer, Donna De Varona...i.e. Male Puberty is the deal breaker.

I’m against biological males competing with biological females in sports. Bio-males have too much of an advantage physically. I once saw the result of an MMA bout between a trans female and a bio-female. It wasn’t pretty as the bio-female suffered a fractured orbital and cheek. She essentially got her face bashed in.

Richard’s point about being selfish should be amplified.

It took her a long time to say this and it would go a long way in creating a better dialogue with those today who transition to female and wish to participate in female sports. In today’s world of over stimulation and me, me, me, somehow transitioning from male to female has the appearance of faddish.

Appreciate Richards owning up at this late stage. The competition angle is not “complicated”.

It’s very simple.

STOP SHITTING ON WOMEN AND GIRLS! Full stop. Chromosome test.

If you believe you are a "trans" woman, that's fine. Go out and live your life that way. You do not have any right to enter women's sports, ruin the competition, and slaughter and injure women and girls due to a biological advantage. What has been allowed thus far is sick and folks that have allowed it should be ashamed...as should folks promoting it and contorting to justify it.

Wanna start the "Trans Games" have at it, wanna compete against other biological men...go for it. IF women sign up and they ALL agree to compete against "trans" competitors (WNBA?)...stupid but, hey, knock yourselves out (perhaps literally).

Otherwise...Knock It Off.

Good to see Richard’s and Navratilova taking the correct position regarding competition.

Not to mention that human beings have been performing genital mutilations (too often under religious pretenses) throughout history.

Sheesh...did you read the interview?...Richards is saying exactly that...what's your problem?

I have edited. Was presented as in line with De Varona’s “It’s complicated” position.

I give Richards credit for acknowledging now what sane people recognize.

GD is a complicated mental issue. It’s not complicated as to competition. Fairness to women prevails in a just society.

That's what Renee Richards is saying...it's inherently unfair once puberty sets in. That being said,

having Gender Dysphoria was not a choice for those with the affliction...human biochemical development isn't perfect...just look at all the other examples...why single out only the sexuality related conditions? . The politicalization of this problem is extremely mean spirited and shows deep seated mental deficits on those who refuse to even try to understand what those with GD are going through. Hopefully, we'll get better leadership in the future.

My 16 year old granddaughter plays soccer at an elite level and could not compete with boys at 14.

It's not uncommon for ambitious and talented girl soccer players to play on boys teams up until that age... but then to leave before they can get hurt.

Then you agree with Renee...hopefully, her comments get accepted and appropriate decisions are

Not just your granddaughter, even USWNT at their peak couldn’t compete with Dallas Academy U15 boys.
